The Mystery Behind The Running Water

28 Dec

Since we moved to another location for work, we are having a public toilet for females, which we didn’t before, we used to have different bathrooms for one person only. To me that’s not a problem, cuz i don’t go much, but i hate the fact that am sharing the same bathroom with maybe 40 other females or maybe more, the idea just doesn’t sound HEALTHY!

Anyway since then i have been hearing rumors that some of the ladies here, and looks like some of them are from higher positions, tend to NOT wash their hands after they are done with their business!!! I still didn’t see that myself, but i have heard it from a couple of the ladies here and it seems true! I was shocked thinking how could they be in this age, supposedly well educated, and in this position and not wash their hands!! Didn’t their parents teach them that since they were kids?? That’s just stupid.

But anyway, that’s not what’s this is about, i wana talk about something different, something weird that i have noticed…

One of the times, i went to the toilet and noticed one of the Indian ladies standing in front of the sink, with the water on FULL FORCE and she was doing her hair or something, anyhow i was done and went to the sink to wash my hands, and there she was standing, still with the water on, and i still can’t see her using it!!!!! Just seeing the water on that long and this much bugged the hell out of me! It just didn’t make any sense to me. I told my colleague about this, and it happened again with her, but this time she closed it herself, and the other lady looked at her and said “I was going to close it!!” wow, yeah well it doesn’t seem like your gonna do that anytime soon :S

Today, it happened again, and it was an Indian person too!! Guys am not trying to be racist here, it just happened that both of them are Indians, and it doesn’t need a smart person to think that this is wasted water and there’s no harm in closing it and opening it after you are done with whatever you’re doing! Am just surprised…

I don’t consider myself a very environment friend myself, but some things are just too obvious, and it doesn’t take u a second to do it, and it would do you no harm! Looks like the list of fools i have at work is increasing.

Ask management to get you some of those laser sensors activated ones to save water.

if management was willing to pay, they would have made more than one bathroom in the whole floor :P

It seems such persons are all over, Allah y3een. Reminds me of how I get annoyed when many lights are on all at once, when there’s no use for it really.

Yes and that tooo!!! but i would care if someone did that in their own house, but this is a public bathroom, and there is no need whatso ever for them to do that!

Obviously it is a common problem here in the Arab world, especially in the public bathrooms and I have faced the same situations that you mentioned since High School.

I totally agree with you point of view :)
