~no sugar – 2 weeks!~

15 Mar

it has been a long time since i’ve posted and i’ve been suffering from the most hideous migraines!!!

along with the migraines i’ve just been constantly eating chocolates! and sweet things!

i have made a decision, that for two weeks, i will not have any sugar, any artificial sweetener (sugar free coffee syrups) – i don’t drink any fizzy drinks except red bull! and that isn’t allowed either! or any white bread! (i prefer brown anyways so that’s not an issue.

The only thing i am allowed is honey (in porridge or with bread).

i’m gonna be posting a no sugar diary on here, telling u guys how i feel.. and if i get urges

i’m hoping like moodypanties i can continue it longer – but i just need to give myself a goal!!! :D

along with this, i want to start writing a food diary – and i’m not very committed with that..

does anyone else wanna try the no sugar thing with me?

i’m weighing myself tomorrow morning, then again in two weeks, and trying to see effect on skin and migraines!

Hey mom suffers from awful migraine attacks :( and she also has to steer away from chocolate and other things. She’s been testing which foods actually trigger her migraine beside choco. You might want to check this http://www.ehow.com/facts_4840255_foods-that-cause-migraines.html wou salamat :)

Good Luck to you Cheeky! Your decision to stay away from sugar will certainly benefit your health. In Naturopathy, refined sugar is called ‘white poison’. I don’t mean to scare you, but just for creating awareness, do visit this link for further information. This might interest you. Well it shocked me actually! http://www.ei-resource.org/articles/general-environmental-health-articles/sweet-poison-/

Hi there! It takes 21 days to form a new habit, which also applies to the body getting used to a modification in food habits. Its natural to feel hungry and crave for what your body is used to. When we ‘stop’ something totally, that was a part of our diet like sugar for example, our body sends us all sort of signals and cravings and make us feel rather ‘unwell’. In a week’s time your body would adjust better. And the second week, you’d feel your body is not all that demanding. After the 3rd week, you would’nt be missing all the sugary stuff you once enjoyed.

but i need a shorter goal to keep myself motivated ;p
          i’m feeling very hungry today..
that could be cuz i’d eat so much chocolate all throughout the day..
          i dunno…
but hopefully it’ll get better ;p
          thanks for the support
          i really appreciate it ;p

I’ve been sugar free since uni :P

it didnt come as a result of dietary wants, i just got too lazy to get sugar (and it was expensive, kinda), then i realised coffee and tea taste better without sugar anyway.

as for fizzy drinks, ive been clean for the past three months :)

so, there is hope, u just need a strong will.

i dont count calories, and i have cakes and stuff when i want, but the way i see it is, if u can cut it out, and its good for u, why not?

we drink green tea, despite its akrid taste (sugarless to) coz people say its healthy.

when u go to a fastfood joint and order a burger, ask for no mayo :P

but dont be one of those peeps that order tons and tons of food then say “oh and a diet coke please” :P

    good luck!
