Ne-Yo: Lunch & The Avenues

10 Apr

Can i be slower that this? Lol…i know am taking alot of time, but i have so many stuff on my hands and that am still into this whole Ne-Yo thing so its fun for me even if it lasted for a year :P

So the next thing we did after the press conference is that we roamed around Sahara for a while, we checked out the outside stage which they were still preparing and started asking the organizing some questions. My main question was: Is it gonna be like a concert? They were YES!! And i was like, hmmm…dancing and everything? And again…YES!! here i lost it :D i just couldn’t believe that there will be a real concert happening in Kuwait, in an open area with music and people dancing, that was just too hard to believe, i was too excited :D

Then we were grouped to take our fancy ride in the Limos :D I personally didn’t ride any limo before, so again we were excited, us the girls picked the black sexy one and left the white one for the guys :P too bad the A/C sucked so we switched on the way back :P we felt like we were sitting in a box, it was too dark and had no idea where we were, we had a laugh and took many pictures to wasted time. We headed to Mayas restaurant in Al Beda’ (inside Al Shik resort) and waited for Ne-Yo to come.

Too bad Ne-Yo didn’t ride with us, he has his own tainted Range Rovers with his body guards. We sat down on a table in the same area where Ne-Yo will be sitting, and we were asked again not to take pics :( maybe he wasn’t comfortable taking shots while he’s eating, he was eating Arabic food so i would understand hehe. We were chit chatting and having a blast while waiting. Ne-Yo arrived and we were checking him out while eating, every now and then he would look at us and smile or wink, he was cute ;)

After we were done eating, we started taking pics with him again, we never miss any chance of doing that :P took some signatures, and he gave us all a big hug! He was such a sweetie and very down to earth, never said no to anyone and was very welcoming for anyone approaching him for a picture. Our next destination was The Avenues, while heading out of the restaurant, Ne-Yo walked to the beach to check it out and took some shots there, before we know it we were in the limos again heading to the Avenues.

We arrived to the Avenues and i was shocked of the amount of people waiting for him!! There were some people actually waiting outside, they knew he would be coming from that door so girls were screaming his name and shouting “I LOVE YOU NE-YO” thank god we were taken along with the group and almost covered with the body guards.

The screaming and shouting inside the avenues was crazy! It felt so real and i haven’t seen anything like this happening in Kuwait before! People thought we were working with Wataniya and kept on begging us to let them in and to take a shot with Ne-Yo, sadly there was nothing we can do :( some girls were literally crying after taking the picture with Ne-Yo, it was just hilarious lol.

Before we know it, we were heading outside back to our limos, girls were running after the bodyguards and still screaming, once Ne-Yo got into his car, he popped his head out of the roof top and waved for his fans, they got even crazier and started following his car lol. At that point the body guards were taking a break and smoking lol, the suffered i believe.

Then we headed back to Sahara and stayed there till the concert started, that I’ll be posting in another post, stay tuned :)

Thank-God there are other bigger issues going on in the region politically speaking, or this [and what I’ve seen in the videos] wouldn’t have gone down well with some members of parliament (and i’m guessing you know which parties i mean ;p) and they would’ve made a big issue out of it :D

lool you think? i dont really think that Wataniya would have risk it if they were doubting the fact that the concert would go on or not, this is a huge deal, so risking it would be a big disappointment
